Painting people is always so much fun but it can be tricky, too. How do you create a different world in your painting? How do you create personality, body language, thoughts? Taking these challenges always means going on a journey at the end of which you will be a richer person.
"Annette", 17x23 cm, oil on board
Wow, Marielle, this is absolutely amazing! Art has been a huge part of my life, too. I love to paint, to draw, to do things myself. It relaxes me and makes me happy like only few other things can. But I'm nowhere as good as you are! This painting is so beautiful. It looks like I can touch her hair and it will feel like actual hair. I love Annette's facial express - so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Beate, I really don't know what to say. I did put a lot of heart and efford to make it, so I'm pleased to hear that you like the result so much :)))
DeleteWonderful piece Marielle.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann, I'm glad you like it :)
DeleteLove, love this!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Audrey :)
DeleteYou have captured the feel of her hair perfectly - I don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Elaine, it did take a lot of time... :)
DeleteTo capture the essence, the personality of the person is the hardest thing to draw like you said, but when done the right way the result is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGood Work Marielle
