This is a drawing of a beautiful old church in Llanfechain, surrounded by the magnificent Welsh countryside. While drawing it I was intrigued by the stonework of the walls and the pattern on the black and white porch.
I visited this village so many times and I was happy that I could capture the peaceful atmosphere of this lovely place.

Hi Marielle, Thanks for visiting Dartmoor Ramblings and I love your work. This one reminds me of drawings my Father's THIRD wife Dorn does. I suppose she is my step mother but I don't think of her like that! It's beautiful but my favourite is the Circus Acrobats. What an amazing variety of skills you have.....however.............no followers button so I can't press it. Do add one and I'll put you in my sidebar so I hope others will come over and look at your work. Let me know when you have!
ReplyDeleteHi Em!, Thank you for your lovely comment and appreciation of my art:) It really means a lot to me. And I've added the followers button so you're most welcome to be the very first follower! ;)
DeleteYour drawing reminds me of a wonderful trip through Wales I took as a student in the 70ties. I might even have seen this church. A very peaceful atmosphere, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Karin. :) I love Wales and its culture and countryside is always very inspiring for me.
DeleteHi Marielle! You are a very talented artist. I enjoyed your posts. Are your drawings for sale? If not you should consider selling on Etsy.
ReplyDeleteHello Brandi, thank you for visiting :) I'm glad you like my blog! As for Etsy, I'm thinking of opening an Etsy shop in the near future, I'll let you know when I do :)
DeleteI've been thinking of selling pillows on Etsy as well. I wish you luck. When the time is right we are here to encourage each other!
